My husband, Russ, has an incredible God-given ability to draw. He’s drawn ever since he was a little, little guy. Throughout school, he was the go-to guy for designing any banners for high school rallies or sporting events, even creating our high school’s logo that is still in use today. He drew for church functions and, for a short time, did political cartoons in our local newspaper. His artwork has even made it to the Today Show once when his mom got on the morning show by standing in the audience outside holding a poster of caricatures Russ had drawn of each of the hosts. Matt Lauer made a joke about he was always drawn with a huge nose But he, along with the rest of the hosts, were surprised to find out that my husband wasn’t a professional artist. He continues to draw even now, although his actual occupation is in the field of law. He’s never went “whole hog” and decided to make his career in the arts, so I’m going to use this outlet to showcase his wonderful illustrations and make sure that I’m not the only one enjoying his work.
